- A pleasantly tropical destination, the Cape Verde islands benefit from average annual temperatures of between 24°C and 30°C.

- Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C.
- An unpleasant virus which can cause fever, malaise, nausea, abdominal discomfort
- jaundice and even in rare cases liver failure
- Vaginal and sexual diseases.
Food:
- Cachupa, a stew, is considered the national dish of Cape Verde which includes mashed maize, onions, green bananas, manioc, sweet potatoes, squash and yams. Manioc balls are one of the most common in Cape Verde.

- Once your application is reviewed and an approval decision is made, we ask that you follow up within 1 week either confirming your commitment to joining the mission and submitting your registration fee or letting us know if unable to join.
- If you are a Canadian citizen, your payment process will be different. Please be on the lookout for more information once approved for the trip.
- Please do not purchase tickets for a flight until you have received confirmation from the Missions email account that you have been accepted for the mission.
- Although we list a closing date to submit your application on the website, if we have reached capacity prior to it, we will close the application process early. We do often receive a large group of applicants so please be sure to apply as early as possible to ensure you make it through the first step. Due to limited space, priority will be given to healthcare professionals, followed by healthcare students, followed by college students and servants. In the case of an excess number of student applicants, students can opt to be placed on a waiting list in case additional space opens up.
